On April 3, 2014 NGOs involved in the campaign ‘It Affects You Too – Surveillance Continues’ held a rally outside the Parliament in Kutaisi.
The demonstrators called upon parliamentarians to adopt a draft law on unlawful surveillance and to improve the current law and practice in accordance with internationally recognized principles.
Discussion of the legislative package was scheduled in four different committees.
The committee hearings were attended by the heads of non-governmental organizations and lawyers.
