Based on the survey conducted by the National Democratic Institute (NDI), the majority of respondents is aware of and justifies the campaign on illegal surveillance – “It Affects You Too”.
45% of the respondents are aware of the fact that non-governmental organizations involved in the campaign “It Affects You Too” demand amendments in order to prohibit illegal surveillance by law enforcement bodies.
Only 10% of the respondents believe that the campaign is unacceptable, while 62% justify the campaign.
The largest number of supporters of the campaign “It Affects You Too – Surveillance Continues” has been recorded in Eastern Georgia, where 75% of the respondents support the campaign, while 7% are against it. As for Western Georgia, 52% of respondents are supporters of the campaign, while 12% are against it.
The survey was conducted through face-to-face interview with 3,942 people and has a margin of error plus,/minus 2.1%.
