On November 3, Open Gallery at Open Society Georgia Foundation will host an exhibition by Upper Ajara and Pankisi photo clubs.
These photo clubs are a continuation of the village photo club project that Natela Grigalashvili, wonderful Georgian photographer first started in the village of Gorelovka in Javakheti with OSGF’s support.
The members of the clubs studied photography, its theoretical or technical details for several months. During this time they’ve photographed the entire Upper Adjara and Pankisi Gorge – people and their traditions, nature, environment and moments from daily life.
One of the main ideas of the project, as in the case of “Gorelovka” photo club, is that the clubs will continue to work independently in the future and the current members of these photo clubs will teach photography to those who want to join.
Photo Clubs of Ajara and Pankisi create a different, interesting and creative environment, and most important, it unites the youth of Pankisi and Upper Adjara!
The exhibition will last until November 7.
