KETI KHUTSISHVILI

DIRECTOR

Keti Khutsishvili has been heading the Foundation since 2008.

An Orientalist and Indologist by profession, in the early 90s Ms. Khutsishvili began her career at the Institute of Oriental Studies and lectured at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. In 1994-2001, Keti was first a local consultant in Tbilisi at the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs and later in Kyiv –hold the post of program manager. From 2002-2007, Keti was the director of the Georgian Office of the Eurasia Foundation, whose main mission was to enhance the development of civil society, free media and social responsibility in the country.

HATIA JINJIKHADZE

DEPUTY DIRECTOR / MEDIA SUPPORT PROGRAM MANAGER

Hatia Jinjikhadze joined the Open Society Georgia Foundation (OSGF) in 2009, and currently serves as a Deputy Director of the Civil Society Foundation (formerly OSGF) and Manager of Media and Communications Program. For over 15 years the Program has been supporting independent media outlets in Georgia’s capital and the regions, including ethnic minority communities, to produce quality content of public interest and to develop as viable organizations. As a member of Media Advocacy Coalition she works to improve media legislation and to protect journalists’ rights.  In 2000-2009 she worked in the US Embassy in Tbilisi on media support programs funded by the US Government.

VANO CHKHIKVADZE

EUROPEAN INTEGRATION PROGRAM MANAGER

Vano Chkhikvadze has been heading the EU Integration Program since 2014. At the same time, Vano is a visiting lecturer at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA).

Over the years, Vano held various positions in the Georgian Office of the International Organization for Migration, the German think tank “European Stability Initiative”, the Eurasia Partnership Foundation and the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

GIORGI CHITIDZE

HUMAN RIGHTS PROGRAM MANAGER

Giorgi Chitidze joined the Foundation in 2015. In addition to directing the Human Rights Program, Giorgi teaches constitutional law, human rights law, public law, and constitutional litigation at Ilia State University. Over the years, Giorgi lectured at the University of Georgia, Free University of Tbilisi and the International Black Sea University. Giorgi is the editor-in-chief of the scientific journal “Review of Constitutional Law”. In various years, Giorgi was a visiting specialist, legal consultant, senior and chief advisor to the Constitutional Court of Georgia.

NINO KIKNAVELIDZE

NATIONAL INTEGRATION PROGRAM MANAGER

Nino Kiknavelidze has been a member of the Foundation team since 1996. Over the years, Nino was the chief accountant, financial manager of the Foundation. Since 2007, Nino worked in the program department – as a coordinator of programs on civic education, culture and higher education. Nino has extensive experience in managing EU projects. In addition, she is also a member of the Board of TASO Foundation.

Nino has completed more than 20 training courses on finance and management of non-governmental organizations. She has published articles in economics and management in agribusiness.

Irma Khabazi

CPR Project Manager

Since 2010, Irma Khabazi MD, PhD has been heading the Public Health Program at the Foundation. Currently she is leading CPR project – Care, Prevention, Rights, implemented with the support of the European Union.

Prior to joining the Foundation, for more than 15 years, Irma has worked in the field of public health, health administration and Infectious Diseases.  Working in different fields (clinical practice, research, educational system, NGOs, international organizations) provided Irma Khabazi with an opportunity to have close relationships with people of different generations having different experience and values, learn firsthand about their needs and problems, and take part in the resolution of challenges posed by the transitional period.
