Inclusive Theatre Performance Supported by the Foundation

12.02.2025

Supporting inclusive collaboration is important to overcome misconceptions and stigma in society regarding the capabilities of people with disabilities.

With the support of the Foundation, young people with autism spectrum disorders, speech development disorders, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia, who are usually less involved in such projects, were properly prepared to participate in the performance. Specialists worked with them on improving skills such as text learning, synchronized movements, teamwork… Which bore fruit – young people improved their skills in reading and analyzing literary material, their ability to perceive a dramatic work and get to know a character’s traits, refined their stage speech, etc.

The inclusive theatrical work became possible through the collaboration between people with disabilities and special needs and professional actors. The play “Strange Mrs. Savage” can be seen at the Tumanishvili Film Actors Theatre.
