The first application of audio books and around 300 free books will be handed over to visually impaired and blind people by the Open Society Georgia Foundation and Saba, the online book publisher.
SABA Reader Application was added a voice reading functionality and was adapted to blind and visually impaired people, which means that they will be able to listen to audio books independently without other’s help.
These are technologically refined audio books developed in accordance with modern standards. People can listen to audio books using smartphones or tablet computers, with no internet connection needed.
The catalogue contains both classical and modern pieces of Georgian literature and Georgian translations of foreign literature. Sound for the books was recorded by actors and the authors themselves.
