On April 16th, the coalition for Media Advocacy held a roundtable discussion on challenges posed by the digital switchover of regional broadcasters and issues related to Television Audience Measurement in Georgia.
Ucha Seturi, media law expert at IDFI, presented a research report entitled: “The Television Audience Ratings in Georgia and Challenges Faced by the Media Sector“. During the second part of the ensuing roundtable discussion, the problems and challenges faced by regional broadcasters in the digital switchover process were highlighted.
The discussion was attended by regional and national broadcasters, non-governmental organizations, organizations involved in audience measurement process and representatives of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission.
