Female Prisoners Acting in the Performance

On December 5, the premiere of performance “Behind Bars” was held in Shota Rustaveli State Drama Theatre with the support of Open Society Georgia Foundation.

Female prisoners are participating in the performance. The play was staged in May, in a penitentiary institution. The preparatory works lasted 2 years.

The daily program of First Channel of Georgian Public Broadcaster – “Real Space” hosts the Project author and film director Manana Kvirkvelia and Screenwriter Ketevan Pataraia.

Manana Kvirkvelia: “The idea of developing the project emerged about 2 years ago. We appealed to the Open Society Georgia Foundation. I would like to thank Keti Khutsishvili for funding our project. Without her support we could do nothing.”
