International conference on Europe’s New Geopolitical Landscape: Security, Economic Opportunity, Freedom and Human Dignity for the Frontline States

On September 7-8 2015 Tbilisi hosted an international conference on Europe’s New Geopolitical Landscape: Security, Economic Opportunity, Freedom and Human Dignity for the Frontline States.

The event was organized by the Economic Policy Research Center and McCain Institute for International Leadership with the support from the Open Society Georgia Foundation.

The Tbilisi International Conference provided a unique platform to bring together experienced political and security leaders from the United States, Europe, Georgia and the wider Euro-Atlantic community to discuss the vision of a Europe whole, free and at peace, the challenges facing Europe’s eastern nations and strategies to move forward.

The President and the Prime Minister of Georgia, along with other senior officials and members of the opposition, took part in panel discussions. Experienced politicians, diplomats, academicians and experts from the United States, Western Europe, and Central Europe participated in the conference and contributed their own perspectives to the discussion.

In 2014 EPRC, again with the OSGF’s support hosted two conferences in partnership with Stanford Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law (CDDRL). Previous conferences were led by Francis Fukuyama, Larry Diamond, Stephen Krasner and political leadership and economic and security experts from the region and strategic partner countries.
