Mapping Digital Media – International Advocacy Conference

On May 23-24 the Open Society Foundations organized in Tbilisi an international conference – Mapping Digital Media.  The conference brought together digital media experts from England, Estonia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Armenia and Georgia.

The conference focused on challenges and risks associated with the transition to digital broadcasting, experience of different countries, the role of the state, expected trends and development prospects, regional and local advocacy strategies, Public Broadcasting, development of fair and transparent laws, switchover to digital broadcasting in Georgia.

The conference participants were introduced with recent studies and reports on digital media.
