Meeting within the framework of Harm Reduction Advocacy Project

On February 2008 in the Centre for constitutional Rights Telavi Office was held a meeting with local civil representatives within the current project “Harm Reduction Advocacy Campaign” of Harm Reduction Georgian Network, funded by Open Society Georgia Foundation.
Representatives of local law enforcement bodies, NGOs and Mass Media attended the meeting. The topic of the meeting included popularization of harm reduction programs, drug dependence problem, alternative, non-repressive approach, as well as importance of liberal drug policy and providing the society with the reliable information about the problem of drug usage.
The meeting participants demonstrated interest towards the mentioned issues and got actively involved in discussions.

The meeting was moderated by journalists and lawyers from  Harm Reduction Georgian Network member organizations
