The “Mziuri Café” is in danger. In support of this important social space, musicians united and gave a concert. The purpose of this concert was for people to raise their voices together and appeal to the Tbilisi City Hall to change the decision and allow the social cafe “Mziuri” to pursue its activities. The Civil Society Foundation provided technical support to the event, as it highly values social goals, activities and achievements of the “Mziuri Cafe”.
The National Agency of State Property of the Tbilisi City Hall considers the building where the café is located “as a means for mobilizing funds in the local budget of Tbilisi” and, by putting it up for auction, plans to select a new owner for it. This decision threatens the existence of the “Mziuri Café”, all the results that the cafe has achieved through numerous social projects and activities.
Beloved by the public musicians, featured the concert in support of the “Mziuri Café”. Despite the rainy weather, the event was joyful and filled with a spirit of solidarity.
