  • Goal of the Policy

With this document, we provide you with detailed information about what types of personal data we collect about you, why we collect it, and how we use it.

  • Where and what personal data we collect

We may obtain personal data about you:

• From the Foundation’s grant application completed through the Foundation’s website, as well as from additional information requested for the application;

• As a result of sharing information via the communication channels available on the Foundation’s website within the framework of another specific project/opportunity;

• As a result of sending a message/application by you from the Foundation’s website or via the communication channels available on the Foundation’s website.

We may request/process the following information:

  • Name and Surname;
  • Personal number;
  • Address;
  • Contact information (e-mail, phone number);
  • Other information that is immediately pertinent and required to participate in a call for grant proposals/project/other opportunity.
  • Purpose of data collection and processing

We collect and process your personal data within the framework of a specific project or opportunity for the purpose of reviewing your application or further organizing the project, as well as for the purpose of reviewing your message/application (if any). We may also use your personal data within the framework of legislation to comply with legal requirements.

5. Legal basis for processing personal information

Personal data is processed with your consent (including by agreeing to this document), as well as at your request to review submitted by you grant application or other application, submitted within a specific project/opportunity and/or message/application. Personal data may also be processed based on our legitimate interests and legal obligations.

6. Sharing data with third parties

We do not share your personal data with third parties, except in the following cases:

• When we use the services of third parties, other providers, and it is necessary to share your personal data with them to perform specific tasks. Before sharing data, we make sure that third parties protect the security and privacy of data. Services that we have to receive from third parties and may require sharing your data may include, but are not limited to the following areas: design of web tools and/or applications, ongoing operational services; IT service providers that can provide application- or infrastructure-related services; legal, audit and other professional services that relevant persons provide to us.

• When required by law.

7. Data retention period

Your personal data will be retained only for the period necessary to achieve the above purposes, unless a longer period is required by legislation.

8. User rights

You have the right to:

• Receive information about how we collect and process your personal data, which means that if you request, we are obliged to furnish you with complete and exhaustive information regarding your personal data;

• Request both access to the data and the provision of copies thereof;

• Request the blocking, modification, rectification, updating, completion, addition, transfer, termination of data processing, deletion or destruction of your data if the data is incomplete, inaccurate, not up-to-date or if its collection and processing were carried out in violation of the law.

• In case of violation of the rights granted to you and the established rules, apply to the Personal Data Protection Service and/or court in accordance with the procedure established by law.

Please note that if you request that we delete your personal data, we may no longer be able to consider your grant and/or other application and/or carry on with a specific project.

We will respond to your request to exercise the rights granted to you under this paragraph no later than 10 (ten) workdays, unless otherwise required by law.

It is also worth noting that, in accordance with the Georgian legislation, we may be restricted in our ability to delete personal data.

9. Automated data processing

The Foundation does not process the personal data you provide in an automated manner.

10. Security

We practice appropriate technical and organizational measures, physical and hardware security systems that ensure the security of data against unauthorized access or disclosure.  

11. Changes to this Policy

The Foundation may periodically update this document. Changes to the document will be made by posting them on the Foundation’s website, so it’s advisable to take a look at this document periodically. You will be notified of changes personally, only if this obligation arises from the applicable legislation.
