Schools for Patients with Hepatitis C

3 years ago, with the support of the Open Society Georgia Foundation schools for patients with Hepatitis C were opened in Gori, Zugdidi and Telavi. The schools aim at raising awareness on Hepatitis C, criteria for inclusion in state funded programs and diagnostic opportunities.

Patients affected by Hepatitis С will learn more on:

  • Hepatitis C – etiology, genotype and transmission;
  • Hepatitis C – progress, forms of the disease and complications;
  • Hepatitis C – diagnostic opportunities;
  • Hepatitis C – modern principles and methods of treatment;
  • Hepatitis C – diagnostic and prospects of treatment in Georgia.

Meetings at schools will take place every month. The first meeting is scheduled on January 30 in Zugdidi.
