Amnesty International report calling for further care for displaced people

Amnesty International is calling on the Georgian government to protect the rights of the nearly a quarter of a million of displaced people as a result of the conflicts in the past two decades.

The organization will present its report In the waiting room: Internally displaced people in Georgia, which focuses on the most pressing issues faced by displaced people — housing, employment, access to health and benefits – at a press conference in Tbilisi.

Prior to the press conference, Amnesty International delegates will meet Georgian officials to present the organization’s recommendations.
