Within the frames of a joint with Open Society – Georgia Foundation and General Prosecution Service of Georgia Project: “Community Prosecution” by the initiative of Mtskheta Regional Prosecution Service on 10-17 May, 2008 in Mtskheta was organized a mini-soccer tournament under the motto “Together Against a Crime”.
It’s worth stressing, that within the frames of the project such mini-soccer tournaments became of regular nature (the same event took place in May, 2007) that proved to be of great favor among Mtskheta dwellers.
In tournament participated undergraduates of Mtskheta public schools, inmates of Dzegvi Boarding School and also representatives of Mtsketa Regional Prosecution Service, Police, Court, Environmental Protection, Probation, Public Defender’s Services and Municipality. During a week several matches were played, and eventually in a finale each other faced teams of Mtskheta № 1 and № 2 public schools. After a strained fight, in the end of an extra time team of Mtskheta public school № 1 succeeded to score a goal and thus the challenging cup remained after Mtskheta public school № 1.
Teams shared I, II and III places, and Dzegvi Boarding School team were awarded certificates, medals, cups and presents as well.
