2010-2011 Partner University Departments,

Returning and International Scholars

The Open Society Institute’s Academic Fellowship Program announces competition for following programs for the 2010-2011academic year:

Returning Scholars Fellowship Program – invites applications from talented scholars who seek university positions and academic careers in their home countries after studying abroad.  Fellowships include stipends and various allowances, including university and professional development funds, and are renewable every year.   Deadline for submitting applications is APRIL 7, 2010.

International Scholars Fellowship Program selects highly qualified scholars in the social sciences and humanities to assist Academic Fellowship Program (AFP) partner departments (universities) where Returning Scholars are placed. Fellowships include a stipend, transportation, accommodation, and various other allowances, and can be renewed.  Deadline for submitting applications is APRIL 7, 2010.

Call for University Departmental Partners – The OSI Academic Fellowship Program (AFP) is enlarging its horizon of cooperation with university departments in Southeastern Europe, the former Soviet Union (excluding the Baltic States), and Mongolia.  AFP is seeking university departments interested in forming new partnerships in the academic year 2010-2011.  Deadline for submitting applications is APRIL 15, 2010.  Interested universities/departments are requested to submit “statement of interest” before March 1, 2010.
