On March 26 within the framework of OSGF Economic Development program, was held training on financial accounting and legal issues for local representatives of trade and service sector at Akhalgori business promotion centre.

The research on trade and service sector carried out by Akhalgori business promotion centre revealed that there are tax system related problems in the field. Entrepreneurs are not aware of their obligations towards taxation bodies and local budget. During the meeting were identified interesting issues for representatives of this field and the chief problem in this sector – lack of knowledge about financial accounting and transactions that very often generates misunderstanding.

Based upon the study results, the staff of Akhalgori business centre prepared training module – taxes for shops. Meetings were held with the representatives of local taxation offices, economic and infrastructure bodies, self-governing financial department.

Specific topics were discussed during training on March 26. Profit taxes, income taxes, property taxes, VAT, payments established by local self-government, cash register.

Training participants learnt compilation of special forms to be submitted to tax bodies.

Representatives of Akhalgori trade and service sector were satisfied with the information and knowledge obtained during the training and expressed their willingness for future collaboration.

The questions posed during the trainings will be processed by Akhalgori business promotion centre staff and the representatives of Akhalgori trade and service sector will obtain answers to their questions during the next planned training.
