Civil Society Foundation’s Media Program supports media that serves public interest with the goal to make quality journalism accessible to wider audiences.
Media Program will continue to collaborate with its partner media outlets, independent, responsible journalistic groups in the capital and the regions to produce credible, fact-based analytical and investigative content, as well as daily news online.
In order to create a safe and free environment for journalists and to improve the media environment, the Foundation will continue to work with organizations that are united in Media Advocacy Coalition and to strengthen the capacity of the Media Advocacy Coalition.
As a result of the Georgian Dream’s unconstitutional and repressive laws, bank accounts of civil society organizations — including the Civil Society Foundation — are currently frozen. Under these same laws, the Foundation is also restricted from receiving additional funding. Consequently, the Foundation’s programs are temporarily unable to review project proposals or issue grants. This important opportunity to support the Georgian people will only become available again if these undemocratic laws are repealed.
It is required to carefully complete all information that must be provided to the Foundation within the project proposal.
Before submitting an application to the Foundation, we recommend that you consult with a representative of the program to which you plan to apply.
